| Manufacturers
of standard, modified and custom Rubber Vibration Isolators.
|
Our rubber vibration isolators are produced in a wide variety
of standard shapes and
sizes.FR RUBBER INC Vibration Isolators are specially designed
rubber mountings that effectively reduce vibration, sound, and
shock transmission. They support and allow relative motion between
the vibrating object and the supporting structure.
Our laboratory and complete field-testing, over a period of
more than 20 years, have provided the basis for the development
of an extremely absorbent rubber compound. FR Rubber Inc. isolators
have been used on virtually every type
of machine or mechanism that vibrates. Their use provides
many benefits including increased efficiency, quiet operation,
reduction of structural failures, protection of delicate components,
and increased equipment life.

Vibration is defined as a magnitude (force, displacement, or
acceleration), which oscillates about a reference point; for
example, a swinging pendulum, the prongs of a struck tuning
fork, or the string of a plucked musical instrument. In your
machinery, vibration can seem like a mere nuisance due to the
noise that occurs when vibration is amplified. However, vibration
can have dangerous effects on your equipment. Stress, the internal
force exerted by one body on an adjoining body, and strain,
the deformation caused by stress overtime, can lead to the breakdown
of your machinery. Materials are considered to be elastic in
relation to an applied stress if the strain disappears after
the force is removed. Elastic materials, such as rubber, are
used to reduce the effects of vibration and stress. Vibration
Isolators reduce the stress and strain vibration causes on machinery.
Various types of vibration and shock isolators can be applied
to a given problem, depending upon the conditions under which
it will be used. The isolator's efficiency depends on the percentage
of vibration that is absorbed by the rubber mount. Choosing
an Isolator properly ensures the reduction of the harmful effects
of vibration. |

Vibration Isolators provide protection
and reduction of the unwanted and destructive energy caused
by vibration. Machines are mounted on resilient materials composed
of rubber. The materials act as shock absorbers, isolating the
vibrations of the machine from the surrounding area. Vibration
is isolated by either compression, deflecting the vibration
in the direction perpendicular to the mounting surface, or shear,
deflecting the vibration in the direction parallel to the mounting
surface. Thus, increasing the capacity of metal, wood, concrete,
and other materials to withstand stress and strain |
